Something is fishy in the state of Florida! Eleven-year-old Serena McQueen helps at the
sea turtle lab run by her marine biologist mom in Marine Tortuga, Florida. Serena’s dad
disappeared two years ago working as a deep-sea diver for an enigmatic treasure hunter with no recovery of the ship or divers. When a routine sea turtle nest survey uncovers a dead body instead of turtle eggs, the turtle lab is investigated, and Serena’s mom is the main suspect.

With the help of her two best friends, Birdie and Jax, Serena must use her scientific logic and sleuthing skills to help find the real killer and save her mom. She can’t risk losing her mom too. As Serena and her friends search for clues, suspicions arise about the mysterious treasure hunter and Serena holds out hope that her dad may still be alive.
